Shortly after “Abraham”s mom passed away his father abandoned him. He was then cared for by a family member who also abandoned him. With so much transition and abandonment, Abraham was very despondent and sad. Abraham is one of our newest additions at Casa Providencia and has only been with us for one month. Since being at Casa Providencia Abraham is learning to love and be loved while building trust by learning about his surroundings and receiving tender support through his daily therapies. He is working hard in his therapies and is aiming to reach for motor and cognitive milestones. Currently, he is unable to sit up on his own, or feed himself and will need a special wheelchair to provide the support he needs while he learns to sit on his own and works towards walking. He likes to be on his belly and rock and blow bubbles and is always ready to play!
