Juana
JUANA'S STORY
“Juana” only knew a life of neglect before she was removed from her home in Panama. She was severely malnourished and living in a home environment with very poor hygiene. Before she came to Casa Providencia she lived at an orphanage where she recovered from malnutrition. The neglect she experienced in her home did not break her spirit. As soon as we were ready to receive children we were asked to take her. Now, at Casa Providencia, Juana is thriving! She is making strides in school, expanding her vocabulary, learning new ways to communicate and gaining gross motor control! Her cognitive ability has grown tremendously since being with us and she has recently started kindergarten at Casa Providencia. Her favorite princess is Sophia and Juana loves to be engaged in conversation!
